1.  Jacob1 BURNOP was born circa 1780 in England.[1] He married Mary Davis January 14, 1805 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England.[2]

     There are only two Burnops in Westmorland Co., England who don't fit into Jacob Burnop's family or his son Jacob Burnop's family.  They may be related.  One is Sarah Burnop who married Matthew Willan in 1808.  She is possibly Jacob Burnop's sister.  The other is Benjamin Burnop who married Agnes Atkinson in 1820;

     Mary DAVIS was born circa 1784 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England.[3]

     Children of Jacob1 Burnop and Mary Davis were as follows:

          2.        i.    Ann2 Burnop; born November 17, 1805 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened on Nov 17, 1805;[4] married James Powell December 6, 1828 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England.[5]

          3.       ii.    John Burnop; born January 24, 1808 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened Jan 24, 1808.[6]

+        4.     iii.    Jacob Burnop, born May 20, 1810 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; married Mary Johnson.

          5.      iv.    Philip Burnop; born November 22, 1812 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened Nov 22, 1812.[7]

          6.       v.    Charles Burnop; born 1816 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened Jun 30, 1816.[8]

          7.      vi.    Mary Burnop; born 1820 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened Jan 2, 1820.[9]

          8.    vii.    Elizabeth Burnop; born 1822 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England;[10] married George Wand June 8, 1840 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England.[11]

          9.    viii.    Benjamin Burnop; born 1825 in Brough Under Stainmore, Westmorland Co., England; christened Aug 28, 1825.[12]
