15.  William GODBEY Jr. (891);[1],[2] (893); born June 6, 1775 in Fluvanna Co., VA;[3],[4] married Nancy Dickenson (892), daughter of Obadiah Dickenson (4295), June 9, 1798 in Montgomery Co., VA[5] married ? Workman.

     He is found in the land records in Montgomery Co., VA  where a survey of 430 acres was recorded on July 15, 1797.[6] He is also listed as a juror in the Jno. Cook mill request in October, 1809 in Montgomery Co., VA.[7]

     Nancy DICKENSON (892)[8],[9] was born circa 1775.

     Children of William Godbey Jr. (891) and Nancy Dickenson (892) were:

         23.        i.    Nancy (4283);[10] born 1801 in VA.[11]

      ? WORKMAN (893) was born circa 1775.

     There were no children of William Godbey Jr. (891) and ? Workman (893).

 

18.  Francis Marion GODBY (902);[12], [13] born June 24, 1786 in Montgomery Co., VA;[14],[15] married Rhoda Whitt (906), daughter of Archibald Whitt (936) and Hannah Low (937), April 3, 1806 in Montgomery Co., VA;[16],[17] died September 17, 1867 in Pulaski Co., VA, at age 81. The cause of death was old age.[18]

     Godby was a farmer with $4000 in real estate in 1850 in Pulaski Co., VA.[19]

     Rhoda WHITT (906)[20],[21] was born in 1788 in Montgomery Co., VA.[22] She died in 1882.[23]

     Children of Francis Marion Godby (902) and Rhoda Whitt (906) were as follows:

+       25.        ii.    Archibald Whitt (903), born August 29, 1811 in Montgomery Co., VA; married Susanna Matilda Taylor (901).

+       27.       iv.    Rachel (899), born November 13, 1814 in VA; married James B. Farmer (898).

         28.       v.    John C. (875);[24] born 1815 in VA;[25] married Regina ? (1022).

         29.       vi.    Rhoda G. (876);[26] born circa 1817 in VA;[27] married Andrew Miller (877) December 2, 1845 in Pulaski Co., VA.[28]

         30.     vii.    Hannah (878);[29] born 1818 in VA;[30],[31] married Isaac Carper (879) May 6, 1840 in Pulaski Co., VA.[32]

+       31.     viii.    Reazon V. (880), born June, 1822 in Montgomery Co., VA; married Julia Ann Whitt (881); married Catherine E. ? (4581).

         32.       ix.    Mary M. (882);[33],[34] born January 20, 1826 in Montgomery Co., VA;[35],[36] married John Linkous (883) May 3, 1853 in Pulaski Co., VA;[37] died 1910 in Pulaski Co., VA.[38]

+       33.       x.    Amanda M. (615), born 1829 in Pulaski Co., VA; married James Rankin (614).

20.  George GODBY (911);[39] born February 28, 1791 in Montgomery Co., VA;[40] married Nancy Ellswick (912) December 16, 1811 in Montgomery Co., VA;[41],[42] died August 11, 1873 in Cleveland, TN, at age 82.[43]

     Nancy ELLSWICK (912)[44] was born circa 1795.

     Children of George Godby (911) and Nancy Ellswick (912) were as follows:

22.  Benjamin GODBY (915);[49], [50]born June 7, 1798 in Montgomery Co., VA;[51],[52] married Nancy Elkins (916) January 20, 1821 in Montgomery Co., VA.[53],[54]

     Nancy ELKINS (916)[55] was born in 1803 in VA.[56],[57]

     Children of Benjamin Godby (915) and Nancy Elkins (916) all born in VA were as follows:
