101. Nancy¹⁰ HANKS (Abraham⁹, Luke⁸, William⁷, Thomas⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, George², John¹); born February 5, 1784 in Campbell Co., VA;^[1] married Thomas Lincoln June 12, 1806 in Washington Co., KY;^[2] died October 5, 1818 in Gentryville, Spencer Co., IN, at age 34.^[3]

This is just one of many proposed Nancy Hanks lineages. It is known that Nancy Hanks is of the Hanks family of Virginia but there are at least 6-8 Nancy Hanks of the proper time. Just about every Nancy Hanks has her proponents. There is at least one website that collects the various proposed Nancy Hanks lineages.

173. i. Abraham¹¹ Lincoln was born February 12, 1809 in Hardin Co. (Now Larue Co.), KY^[4] and married Mary Ann Todd November 4, 1842 in Springfield, IL.^[5] Lincoln died April 15, 1865 in Washington DC at age 56. He was killed by John Wilkes Boothe who then shouted “Thus ever to tyrants.”^[6]
