3.  Henry SKAGGS (4439); born 1726;[1] married Mary ? (4452) circa 1750;[2] died 1796.[3]

              Henry Skaggs’ land records include the following.

              "1769, HENRY SKEGGS from James Skeggs, Sr. and Rachel, 100 acres on Little River from Francis Riley, 1751"   Augusta Co., VA.[4]

              He was the owner of 150 acres transferred from his mother, Rachel Skaggs.  See Rachel for land record  in 1784 at Montgomery Co., VA.[5]

              He was also mentioned as selling William Grayson 100 acres on Little Run in 1784 in Montgomery Co., VA.[6]

 

     Mary ? (4452) was born circa 1730.[7]

     Children of Henry Skaggs (4439) and Mary ? (4452) were as follows:

         14.        i.    Lucy (4453); born circa 1755.[8]

         15.        ii.    Mary (4454); born circa 1755.[9]

         16.      iii.    James (4455); born circa 1755.[10]

5.  Charles SKAGGS (4441); born 1729;[12] married Elizabeth Thompson (4457) circa 1755;[13] died January 22, 1816 in Green, KY.[14]

 

     Elizabeth THOMPSON (4457) was born circa 1730.[15]

     Children of Charles Skaggs (4441) and Elizabeth Thompson (4457) were as follows:

         18.        i.    Rachel (4458); born circa 1760.[16]

         19.        ii.    Archibald (4459); born circa 1760.[17]

         20.      iii.    Thomas (4460); born circa 1760.[18]

         21.       iv.    Moses (4461); born circa 1760.[19]

 

 

6.  Susannah SKAGGS (973);[20],[21] born 1730;[22],[23] married Richard Whitt (972), son of Richard Whitt (4311) and Mary Kimbro (4312), 1755 in Montgomery Co., VA;[24] died October 4, 1797 in Montgomery Co., VA.[25]

     She was also known as Elizabeth "Betsy."

     Richard WHITT (972)[26],[27] was born circa 1730 in Montgomery Co., VA.[28],[29]

     Catharine ? (4462) was born circa 1735.[33]

     Mary Francis SAMPLES (4467) was born circa 1760.[42]
