The Whitt Family Journeys
The Whitt family came to America from England. The first two generations resided in Charles City County, VA. Richard Whitt began the move westward. His son, Richard was born between Goochland and Pittsylvania Counties, VA and this second Richard Whitt died in Montgomery County, VA in 1813. There have been Whitts in the Montgomery County area for more than 185 years.
