This is 1029 Clement Street on the east side of Radford only a block from Radford University.  Henry and Ida Foster Keister lived in this home for many years.  After their death the home was left to their daughter, Mabel Keister.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            This is 1817 4th Street at the intersection with Ingles Street and is where Elbert and Bertha Burnop Howell lived on the west side of Radford.  The home was left to their daughter, Byra Jean Howell, upon their death.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This home is 1104 5th Street also on the west side of Radford.  Charles and his wife Lizzie Sutton Roseberry lived here for many years after moving from the house next door.

Harry and Margie Howell Keister, first lived in 1815 4th Street after their marriage.  This is the house next door to Margie’s parents, Elbert and Bertha Howell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            Margie Keister lived many years at 241 1st Street in West Radford after the death of her husband Harry Price Keister.  This is an apartment building and Margie lived in an apartment on the second floor, the first window on the left.  Beneath this window was Umbarger’s Super Market where Margie worked for many years for Worth Umbarger.  Across the street to the left was the Bear Market.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charles Everett Roseberry, son of Charles Wesley Roseberry and Lizzie Sutton, married Betty Jean Keister, daughter of Harry Price Keister and Margaret Virginia Howell.  They lived in Radford at 823 2nd Street before moving to Lynchburg, Virginia in 1954.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            William Chester Roseberry, son of Charles Wesley Roseberry and Lizzie Sutton, married Margaret Allyne Agee and they lived the rest of their lives at 753 2nd Street in West Radford.  William worked at a nearby Pure Oil Company eventually become the owner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Howells and Roseberrys attended the Radford Christian Church on the west side of Radford.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the First Christian Church in east Radford next to Radford University.  The Keisters attended First Christian and lived just a few blocks away.
