  • Family: I'd written his sister, Odell about Leon's military service, this is her reply, Jul 2007. 10 YES, I REMEMBER WHEN LEON WENT IN. I THINK IT WAS BEFORE 12/7/41. I REMEMBER WE WERE LIVING IN A LITTLE HOUSE ACROSS THE ST. FROM MYRTLE & RAY ON THAT DAY. I WAS VERY WORRIED BECAUSE OF LEON. LEON WORKED AT A C.C.C. CAMP BEFORE THAT, SO THAT MAY BE A CONNECTION?? HE WAS STATIONED IN CA (SACRAMENTO, I THINK?). HE WAS A CHEF. THAT'S WHERE HE MET & MARRIED HELEN.
