• Obituary: Services for Royce Edwin Curry, 62, of Vidor and formerly of Mineola, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at English Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola with the Rev. Arlis Bans officiating, 13 Sep 1979, Wood County Democrat, Quitman, Wood, Texas, USA. ⁶ Burial was in Sand Springs Cemetery in Mineola. Mr. Curry died Thursday morning in a Veterans Hospital in Houston after a short Illness.
  Mr. Curry was a native of Lindale, but lived in Vidor for the past 16 years. He was a mechanic and a veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florine Curry of Vidor; two sons, Royce Curry, Jr of Dallas and Michael Wayne Curry of Vidor; one daughter Jinger Sue Curry of Beaumont; two brothers, John Freeman Curry of Center and Frank Curry of San Antonio; one stepbrother, Clyde Kennedy of Lindale; three stepsisters, Eunese McKay of Tyler, Julia Fleming and Rebba Spivy, both of Lindale; two grandson.
