Cavalry Service
D. F. Taft is authorized to raise
a Company for the 22nd Cavalry Regiment, now forming at Rochester [NY].
Men enlisting with me will receive
the Highest Bounties, and will not be sent at once into the field,
as is the case when joining Old
Regiments.
