"In Memory of Daniel Taft, Esquire, who Departed
this Life August 24, 1761,
in the 84th year of his age. He Sustained
the Office of a Magistrate near
Forty years In which Such was his Conduct as evedently
[sic] showed his
Invariable Desire and Endeavour to Discharge the
Duties of his Office with
a conscientius Integrity & Faithfulness.
The memory of the just is blessed."
