Any verifiable information would be appreciated as I have 1`200+ entries in my Tate/Tait family  genealogy. I am now gathering the source /reference documents for my project. I am using Family Tree Maker Version 7.5.

There is one branch of the family living around Hart, Michigan, another branch around Sarnia, Ontario and yet another around the Regina, Saskatchewan area. I live in Neperan, Ontario, Near Ottawa.

So far I have compiled a 1200+ name family tree and am now filling in source and reference details. I have found that my side of the family is using the TAIT spelling and that the U.S. side is usimg the TATE spelling with some members of the same family using both spellings.
