William Brown, 1776, was adjutant in Col. Samuel Thatcher's regiment and 1780 served in the Rhode Island Alarm.
Josiah Brainerd, who had fought in the early wars, gave service in the Revolution. He was born at Haddam, 1711, where he died, 1792.
Ezra Brainerd, 1777-82, represented Haddam in the Assembly. He died, 1832, aged eighty-eight
