William A. Stone to Edmond Tait

Georgia, Elbert County.

This Indenture made this sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty Five Between William A. Stone of the one part and Edmond Tait of the other part both of Elbert County and State aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said William A. Stone for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and twenty Five dollars in hand paid by the said Edmond B. Tait The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Edmond B. Tait his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing seventy seven and half acres situate in the county aforesaid on Falling Creek, Beginning on a pine corner on the Tesington (?) road running Thence North 81 1/2 E twenty four chains to a red oak corner Thence S 10 E Twenty seven chanes and ten links to a post oak corner on David Dyes line Thence N 25 E four chains twenty five links to a stake corner on
the Fish dam road Thence up said road ten chains and twelve links to a red oak corner Thence N 54 W nineteen chains sixty links to a stake corner. Thence S 23 1/2 W six chains and seventy five links to a pine corner Thence N 68 W twenty three chains ninety  links to a stake corner Thence S 17 W twenty three chains and twenty five links to the beginning. Which includes all The land to be conveyed to the same more or less to have and to hold the said bargained land and premises to his own proper use and benefit of him the said Edmond B. Tait his heirs and assigns in fee simple. And the said William A. Stone do for myself my heirs my Executors and Administrators warrant and forever defend the right and title of the aforesaid land and premises unto the said Edmond B. Tait his heirs and assigns against myself my heirs and against every other person whomsoever.
