The work here involves the Speed and Chapman families of Fife, Scotland. We start with Robert Speed who was born in 1684 and married Agnes Dinness of Ceres, Fife. It is in the fifth generation that we find Agnes Speed married to a George Chapman. It only takes one more generation before the pond is crossed and we have emigrations to Massachusetts.
