In 1992, Mrs. Diane Eden Henley completed an index of death notices and obituaries in the newspapers of Clark County, Indiana for the period of 1872 through 1900. This extremely valuable research tool was bound in a three volume set and placed at the Clark County Public Library in Jeffersonville where it remains available today. Unfortunately, that has been the extent of the availability of Mrs. Henley's extensive work. Mrs. Henley granted me permission to post the index here for all to use.
She asked that I include the following dedication:

Jeffrey (Nancy) Henley, Barbara (Phillip) Rosell and
David (Pamalyn) Henley; dearest grandmother of Karin
(Jordan) Huenink, Eric Henley, Kevin (Kathleen) Mockus, David and Adam Mockus,
Calvin Henley, Diane Juliot, Jessica Wright, Hannah,
Clara, Emma and Jacob Henley; dear great grandmother of Tyler Mockus; devoted sister and aunt of many. Visitation Sunday
2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and Monday 9:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Service 10:00
A.M. at Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park. Interment
Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
