Anna Louise White Teeter, my grandmother (1899 NY - 1976 NY) wife of William Hymes Teeter (1883 NY - 1965 NY)

This file has corrections and input pertinent to TEETER KIN and various families, along with my notes and additions.

Per input of MICHAEL TUNISON: George Teeter md Caroline Grover. Their daughter, Mary Ann Teeter, is my ancestor, and she married William M Hymes on 29 Oct 1873. He is buried in Sebring Settlement Cemetery in Newfield NY, but I have yet to locate his grave for it seems no stone remains. Mary Ann was was only 32 when she died on 03 Oct 1881, and I don't know where she is buried. William and Mary (Teeter) Hymes' son was Edgar Jahiel Hymes, who married Lela Church Snyder. They lived in Newfield NY. Edgar and Lela's daughter was my grandmother, Gyda Mary Hymes, who married Frank Abram Tunison. They lived in Trumansburg NY. Frank and Gyda's eldest son was Lewis Edgar Tunison, my father, who married Jean Shirley Wiggins. All of them lived in Trumansburg. My sister, Susan Jean Tunison, and I were raised in Trumansburg. I am a member of Sons of the American Revolution (male version of DAR). I found your "correction" showing Christopher Keller as father of Christina Keller who married Conrad Teeter. I agree. Christopher Keller did serve the American Cause during the Revolution. The father of William M. Hymes was Edgar W. Hymes, b 28 Aug 1823. I haven't been able to discover anything about his parents, but suspect it was either Jacob Hymes of Ontario Co NY, or more likely William Hymes of Cayuga Co NY. I found them in the 1810 census. There was a George Hymes in Tompkins Co. in the 1820 census. REPLY: Thank you MICHAEL TUNISON for your valued input! MY NOTES: Per 1865 1865 Newfield NY, I find this: Mary J. Hymes, 38, Delphine R 16, and William M 13. For 1880, I find: Hymes, William 27 and wife, Mary A 31 b abt 1849, Edgar 5, and Cornelius 1.
