It's April 2012 and although updates have been made throughout since the inception of Teeter Kin, I have decided to put additional and future data relative to to the whole of my site, TEETER KIN, here, on this said TeeterBoard file.

02/06/1900 Marriage/Kern Co Calif: C E SCLEICHTER to MINNIE J CANADY. Charles Edward Sleichter (sp) b 1872 OH was known as Ed and grandson of Henry and Susanna Carey Black. His mother was Elizabeth Black Sleichter w/o John who both died before 1880 in Hardin Co Ohio. He is also 1/2 brother to Frank E Church Black.

OCALA - Felice Hughs Moller, 93, a retired registered nurse, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Legacy House. A native of Wellsville, Kansas, she came from Lander, Wyoming, in 1984. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Kansas State Nursing Alumni. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyne R. Hoogerwoerd, Ocala; sister, Mercedes Jones, Ocala; brothers, *Joseph C. Hughs (h/o Nana Lois Black), Chula Vista, Calif., and Lee D. Hughs, Rock Springs, Wyo.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Moller was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Fred E. Rogers, Rife Beckwith and Don E. Moller; and her son, Michael F. Rogers. Hiers Funeral Home of Ocala provided information. MINNIE WHITE HAWVER born Sep. 8, 1900 NJ; and of Ithaca NY, died Aug. 20, 1958, buried Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca widow of Augustus Hawver and parents of three children: Doris b PA d NY, Retha b NY d Salisbury MD 1972, and Frank Hawver b NY d 1974 WA. Frank married Lorraine Flynn 1stly and then Josephine Teeter 2ndly; and a Phillips. Retha married Ruben Williams who died, said Williams family from upstate New York) and Paul J Riley b NY d Calif (s/o LeRoy). Retha's daughter, Marcia Adams now has her Williams ancestry which I found for her along with her help, and her Hawver ancestry.

Allan (Allen) K Smith Sr., 72, of Syracuse NY, passed away suddenly Sunday, at home on November 20, 2011. Al was born April 19, 1939 Tompkins Co NY area to Harold and Josephine Carrican Smith. He had also lived in Ithaca. He was employed by the City of Syracuse Parks & Recreation Dept. for 16 years retiring in 1995. He was also employed by Roth Steel and the Ida Benderson Center. Big Al is survived by his wife, Delores W; and his four children from two prior marriages, Kalvin A Smith (of first marriage to Joyce K), and Amy J, Allan K Jr, and Keith B Smith (of second marriage to Laurie T); as well as several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lloyd and Harold Smith, and a sister, Betty; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services: 6:30 PM Friday, Thomas J Pirro Jr Funeral Home. Family and friends to call at the funeral home, at 3401 Vickery Rd, North Syracuse, on Friday, 4-6:30 PM. His nephew, Donald K Smith died age 46 December 18, 2011 in Ithaca NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Josephine; and his brother, Richard. (See obits).

The Mount Morris Enterprise: June 3, 1959. SAMUEL CARRICAN, former well known Mt Morris resident, died Wednesday. May 27, 1959 in his home at Petersburg, Virginia, following a long illness. Born in Italy, he came to the United States when a small child and for many years lived at Cuylerville where he was employed at the former Sterling Salt Company mines. Upon his retirement he went to Ithaca NY for a short time and then resided in Mt Morris, recently going to Petersburg VA, to make his home. He is survived by three sons, Thomas and Samuel Carrican of Ithaca and Frank Carrican of Rochester; seven daughters, Mrs. Josephine Smith (Harold) and Mrs. Lena Tichnor of Ithaca, Mrs. Ida Amato (Anthony) and Mrs. Mary Nasca of Endicott, Mrs. Rose Nichols of LeRoy, Mrs. Florence Warren of Petersburg, Va., and Mrs. Frances Grossi of Mt. Morris; 34 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Prayer service was conducted Saturday at 9 am from the Shepard Funeral Home, Chapel Street with services at the Assumption Church at 9:30 am. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery. Sam was the husband of Concetta Leonardo and they are the grandparents of Allan K Smith mentioned above who died in 2011.

OBIT for HAROLD SMITH per May 2, 1964, a Saturday in the Syracuse Post Standard: Ithaca NY: Services for Harold Smith, 63, of 607 W State Street, who died Thursday (April 30) at Tompkins County Hospital, will be at 8:15 am Monday at Shea Funeral Home; and at 9 am in the Immaculate Conception Church; burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Smith was a painter and member of the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators, and Paperhangers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Josephine (Carrican) Smith; four sons, Allen, Richard, and Harold Jr of Ithaca and Lloyd of Ludlowville; and a daughter Betty of Ithaca. Harold Smith is also survived by a brother James W Ammack of Ithaca and a sister (Marjorie) wife of Joseph Ribble of Etna. Friends may call at the Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday. Harold's brother James Ammack died Sept 1971 with residence of 616 W Seneca Street, Ithaca NY as son of Arthur and Lena Briggs Ammack. Had wife, Marie; sister, Mrs Joseph (Marjorie) Ribble of Varna; stepdtrs Helen Wood, 4 stepsons, Myron Jacobs; Frank, Richard, and Walter Wood; and half-sisters, Mrs Helen Weeks, and Mrs Pearl Ward.

Walter W Wood, age 64, of Groton CT, died May 2, 2010, at Lawrence - Memorial Hospital in New London. He was born in Ithaca NY Feb 17, 1946 to Frank and Marie Ammack Wood. Walter enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1963, and retired as Storekeeper First Class in 1984. He worked 22 years for the Federal Government as Property Inspector at the Groton Submarine Base. Walter married Kathryn Medeiros on Jan 18, 1969, in New Bedford Mass; she died Feb 16, 2010. He is survived by a son, Robert G Wood of Leona Valley, Calif., three brothers, James Ammack (Deb) of Van Etten, NY (Mayor, per 2011), Frank Wood of Falls Church VA, and Myron Jacobs of Groton NY; and a sister, Helena Wood of Groton, NY. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Wood. Memorial service with military honors was May 22, 2pm at Walter's late residence. No visiting hours. Byles-Groton Memorial Home, arrangements.

Per Ithaca NY news, January 1916: KENNEDY CORNERS MAN FOUND DEAD IN BED: Jerome Teeter, 73, found dead in bed in morning, at home, by his son-in-law, Harry Van Gorder. Mr. Teeter was of poor health for some time, although not considered serious. He was in Ithaca on Wednesday with his daughter, Mrs. Van Gorder, and when he returned home Wednesday night, his son-in-law remained at his home with him until 11 o'clock. About 9 o'clock next morning Mr. Van Gorder went to Mr. Teeter's home and found him dead in bed. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Harry Van Gorder of Kennedy Corners and Mrs. Benjamin Fish of this city; a son, Merton Teeter, of Kennedy Corners; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Harvey, Mrs. Seth Cowen and Mrs. Colon Kirby of Enfleld and a brother, Frank Teeter, widowerand proprietor of the Enfield House. Mr. Teeter was a veteran of the Civil War. Funeral held 2 o'clock in afternoon from the home of Mrs. Van Gorder. The Rev. H. T. Holland officiated. Interment, Hayts Cemetery, Ithaca NY.

Ithaca NY news, Feb 3, 1904: In June of 1903, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Teeter and their children settled in the town of Union, Broome County NY. They came from the town of Newfield, Tompkins county. During the Fair a case of diphtheria arose in the family and the entire family had to go into quarantine. For the past four months the family has been under the care of the town of Vestal. Superintendent of the Poor, Jasper Smith sent legal notice to the proper authorities of Newfield for support toward their maintenance. Nine of the thirteen Teeter children are under 11 years of age. NOTE: Frank and Angeline Doll Teeter moved on to Pennsylvania where he died. Angelina returned to NY State and remarried twice. See family trees and other notes regarding this family. NOTE: This Frank Teeter is not the same as the one mentioned in the obit above.

Lucelia Angelina Miller died January 18, 2010. She was born August 15, 1926 in Newfield NY, the daughter of Amandus and Ruby (Hovey) Teeter. After high school she was a bookkeeper. During World War II she worked for Ithaca Gun Company. During her younger years, she played softball, was on a bowling team and loved to tap dance. At age 37 years, Lu was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. She taught 2nd grade children at First Baptist Church of Central Florida until her late 70's and was member of the Intercessory Prayer Group. Lu leaves behind to cherish her memory: a son Lon (Debbie) Santora of Orlando FL; a daughter Tina Dean of Greenville SC; a sister Dora Johnoff of Atlanta GA; and grandchildren, Christopher (Ai) Santora of Orlando, Katherine Santora of Jacksonville, Joshua Santora of Orlando, Michelle Santora of Jacksonville, Lauren and Alena Dean both of Greenville, SC. Family to receive friends Friday, January 22nd from 10 - 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Central Florida. Memorial service follows with Rev. Dexter officiating. Donations may be made in Lucelia's name to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs FL 32714 or to Bob Jones University, Greenville SC. Note: Amandus was the son of Frank and Angelina Doll Teeter.
