Aghade, Ardattin & Ballinastraw
aghad_index2.htm Chap5_071111
Located in Co.Carlow, just north of Adattin village, the church at Aghade, the adjacent farm of Ballinastraw and the farms at Ballynoe and Ballintemple are referred to frequently in the Tennant family Irish history.
The grave of Thomas Tennant and his wife Judith Butler are reputed to be at this church but I have only found the stone for their son Richard(1748-1771) and his brother Robert's baby,Thomas, who was buried with Richard in 1775. Richard was also brother of the Thomas who emigrated to Canada.
