Tennant Genealogy Information - Ireland and UK
With grateful acknowledgement of the part played by the many people who supplied information
I used to assume that there were as many different origins to the name Tennant as there were people renting property in the middle ages. Now I suspect that we all may be descended from a handfull of tenement owning families, perhaps one in Yorkshire,England, one in the central belt of Scotland and one in Ayrshire Scotland. None of this is proven but this web site is an attempt to get my notes in order!
