1. Trond Hermodson1 Vinje. Trond died abt 1644.
He married Asgjerd. The Vinjes were on the top rung in the bonder class in Norway. According to probate records, Trond and Asgjerd owned books. They had a library that included copies of the "Iliad" and "Saxo Grammaticus." It was unusual for families of that time to own a church book - so this is a strong indication of both the education and economic status of the family!
Trond Hermodson Vinje and Asgjerd had the following children:

Neri Nerison. She married Torbjorn Halvorson.

Tarjei Trondson. He married Kjersti Gunnleiksdatter
Barstad/Bakken. Kjersti was born
in Flatdal Seljord.
