The graves of Barnabas Wemp who died 1843, and his wife Catherine Gates who also died in 1843. It has been said that two young children are also buried there.

In 1971, the placing of new markers were organized by Moutray Wemp great-great grandson of the Loyalist farmer.

In 1995 a Family Reunion was organized by great-great-great grandson Leigh Herbert Wemp. A plaque was dedicated to the memory of loyalist settlers Barnabas and Catherine Wemp

Herbert Dean Wemp, son of Leigh Wemp purchased the farm in 1989. In 1994 the farm was sold and three and half acres were severed off to keep the Wemp Cairn in the family name.
