Was chaplain of St. Mary's of the Lake hospital in Kingston.
Died Dec 29 1979.

John Bolger
Article:" Lansdowne Native will be Ordained for Mission Work
Kingston,Dec 15--Rev John J.Bolger, S.F.M., a native of the parish of Landsdowne, will be ordained to the priesthood in St. Mary's Cathedral next Sunday morning at 11 o'clock by Archbishop J.A. O'Sullivan. He is a member of Scarboro Foreign Mission Society, and will return to St. Francis Xavier Seminary at Scarboro Bluffs after Christmas to complete his theology corse before receiving an assignment to mission work.
V.Rev. Thomas J. McQuaid, S.F.M. superior-general of the Scarboro Foreign Mission Society, will preach the sermon at the ordination.
The new prist will sing his first Solemn Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Lansdowne, at midnight on the Feast of Christmas.
Rev. Harold J. Murphy, S.F.M., will preach the special sermon at the Mass.
Father Bolger is the son of Leo Bolger, and the former Norma Goodfriend of Howe Island. After obtaining his early eduation at Landsdowne public shcool and high school, he attended Reionoplis College for one year.
In Nov. 1946, he went to join China Mission Fathers' novitiate at Nazareth House, St.Mary's Ont. The following year he entered Seminary at Scarboro for philosophy and theology, and has been there ever since."
