20 May 1828: Thomas L. (Langworthy) Brown purchased lot 18, Concession 1, Amherst Island from Maria Bowes (Sir John Johnson's daughter). On 3 March 1870 the property was sold to William Stevenson and the family moved to North Frederieckburgh, and farmed at lot 23, 5th Concession.
