From Marsha Tarmina 2005:
William Kelley, acquired ownership of portions of Lot 12 and 13 North Range in March 1878 and then contracted to sell the property to Joseph Cadieu in December of 1889, two years after the death of his wife, Ellen Cassidy. A deed signifying the receipt of all monies due from this sale from William Kelley (Kelly) to Joseph Cadieux was filed in December 1892.
The documents were located by ordering the following films for Howe Island through my local Family History Center of the LDS.
FHL US/CAN Film [199662] This film is an abstract of Howe Island Township land transactions with the corresponding Instrument Nos. and Registration Dates organized by specific property (for instance, Lot 12, North Range). Once I had complied a list of Instruments and Registration Dates then I could order the proper film containing copies of those documents.

The chain of title for the property acquired by William Kelley ran from John Davis (resident of Howe Island) to Isaac Henry Raoford (resident of Wolfe Island-the surname is difficult to read) and then to William Kelley. Both conveyances were registered on March 19, 1878.
