Marching into Spring...

Hello everyone!

I hope some of you out there are starting to see signs of spring, we are still pretty bogged down in snow! Additions to the site have been slow this last month.. but there have been some!

Any time now I will be offline for a few days. My second child is due April 1st. If you email and don't hear from me within a week (at least an acknowledgment of email received) please email again. I will post a note here after the baby is born. Please do continue to send in submissions as I'm sure I'll have a lot of late nights where I can put them up. Thanks for your support!

Please include the page link where the error is, and what and where the error is on the page. If you are correcting information please give your source if possible. Corrections always welcome! Please put "Island Corrections" in the subject line of your email.

Volunteer STILL Needed Can anyone look this up for the site?
“Canada's Gallant Volunteers of 1837-38: Roll Call, Winter of 1890-91,” The listing is a consolidation of lists of names “prepared through the patriotic efforts of George Merrill of Belleville. published by the British Whig, Kingston, in winter of 1891.” This can be found on microfilm or at Queens, Stauffer Library in Kingston-if you will look this up please email me. I have been told there are a number of islanders listed.

The Island Connected Tree now has over 20, 000 people in it!

However it has been experiencing some problems. Please access the tree by the Island Tree Projects main page as the link to the tree is sometimes changed. We are working on the problems and hope to everything fixed up soom. See the Trees page on the Islands site for updates. Island Tree Project

This site now has 579 pages up from 576 pages on Feb 4.

This Newsletter has 87 subscribers (down from 97 at last newsletter as all aol subscribers have been removed, but this is still up from 83 at second last newsletter)!!

Some of my books aren't only for the islands.
Please remember:
Put 'JEN LOOKUP!" in the subject line
Be specific in what book you want the lookup done in. I don't do blanket searchers.
