Ren Guillot
The origin of René Guillot is defined in the La Roque census of 1752. This census indicates that René Guillot is from Doix diocese of Angers, this village is located is about 40 Km to the Northeast of La Rochelle. It should be noted  that the research in Doix did not uncover any information regarding this family.

The nickname often given to René Guillot,  the Angevin, confirms his  origin as the region of Angers.

Another hypothesis regarding the origin of Rene Guillot has also been proposed.
One finds a René Guillot listed January 15, 1714 on the Rosterof the ship « Queen Anne» destined for «French isles of America». Rene Guillot is a sailor on board this ship whose origin is St. Gilles (St. Gilles sur Vie?). There is no evidence that this René Guillot remained in Acadia, and it is not known  if Acadia was the destination of the ship.

Rene Guillot would be born about 1693 (he was 59 years in 1752).
He was known to have been married in 1719 in Cobéquid to Marguerite Doiron, daughter of Jean Doiron and Marie Trahan (according to Stephen White).

Of this marriage there were 4 children:

Jean Baptist December 29, 1720.

Marie Josèphe born abt. 1722.

 René born abt. 1726.

Ambroise born abt.  1728

In the La Roque census, all the Guillots are recorded.

Rene is recorded in «Pointe Prime» following his father and brother Jean Baptist.
He was 26 years old at that time and married with Marie Rose Daigre age 20 years.

Ambroise is recorded in «Pointe Boulleau»,  is 24 years old and  the same age that his wife, Théotiste Daigre (sister of Marie Rose). They have one child, Marguerite Blanche age 5 months, Paul Severain Bertrand also aged of 15 years also lives with them.

Affaire Guillot Doiron Boudrot.

May 24, 1736, a judicial decision is made by «the honorable lieutenant governor Lawrence Armstrong» to Annapolis Royal, in a matter which René Guillot opposes Paul Boudrot, son-in-law of Charles Doiron.

Paul Boudrot maintains  that the land farmed by René Guillot had been acquired by his good father Charles Doiron, whereas René Guillot maintains that this famland was  inherited by wife, Marguerite Doiron, at the death of are father, Jean Doiron.

Each side produced its witnesses, and Charles Boudrot affirms to have heard Jean Doiron to say that he wanted that his estate be shared equally among his children. On the other hand, Claude Boudrot doesn't manage to prove that the farmland had been acquired by Charles Doiron rather than by Jean Doiron.

The Council, going back on a previous decision taken by Pierre Leblanc, Bernard Daigre, and Jean Doucet, three Acadiens deputies, confirm the rights of René Guillot.

«The Board upon the considération of the whole were of Opinion, that the plantiff René Guillot should be continued in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said Lands till the Deffendant Charles Duron shall produce a more Sufficient Evidence, that it was he and not his father John that purchased said Lands»
(Archives of the New Scotland Vol 3 p 346, minutes of HM Council 1720-1742).

This disagreement regarding land between 2 members of tne same family, poses a certain number of questions. Jean Doiron would have had 19 children. Why does Charles deny him only the inheritance of his sister Marguerite? Is Marguerite indeed the daughter of Jean Doiron? She doesn't appear in any census, we don't have any documentation concerning her. Does Stephen White in his dictionary think than she is the daughter of Jean Doiron and Marie Trahan the second wife of Jean Doiron, and therefore the half sister of Charles Doiron, is this the reason for the disagreement?. Or is she, then, an adopted daughter with which Charles Doiron doesn't want to share his father's inheritance? A small Indian for example? A supplementary mystery to solve.

Marguerite Bourg remarried to Jean Germain Metra February 5, 1767 in Pleudihen. One finds  them in the 4th convoy between Chatellerault and Nantes in 1776, then they leave France for Louisiana (family 61 on LAmitie) August 12, 1785.
