Cynthia Ann "Anna" Thurman was born 25 December 1882 in Cooper, Delta County, Texas (obituary). She was the daughter of Elisha A. Thurman and Fannie Helena "Lena" Derryberry. Anna married Barney Lawson McAfee 24 December 1906 in Hopkins County, Texas (Vol 12, p 329). He was the son of John Miller McAfee and Sarah Jane Crowder. Barney was born 09 March 1888 in Hopkins County, Texas.

Murray; her father as Elisha Thurman; her mother as Lena Dewberry. Anna was buried 8 June 1933 in Greenpond Cemetery, Hopkins County, Texas.

Lawson McAfee died 03 December 1933 in Hopkins County, Texas. He
was buried 5 December 1933 in Greenpond Cemetery in Hopkins
County, Texas (Vol: 1A, page: 427)
Anna and Barnery McAfee were buried in Greenpond Cemetery then
disinterred several years later and their bodies moved to
Restlawn Memorial Park in Hopkins County, Texas
