The descendants of Francis “Frank” Marion Ponder and Georgia Zenobia “Nobie” Whatley gathered Saturday, October 1, 2011 at their grandson's cabin in Greenpond. The reunion was held a few miles from Reilly Springs where Frank and Nobie raised their children. Those children were: Frankie Ponder Massengale, Percy Covington Ponder, Leslie Hiram Ponder, Hollis Merkerson Ponder, Eula Florence Ponder Starrett, Clyde Ponder, Duval Ponder, Robert Ponder, Fred Warren Ponder and John Whatley Ponder. Frank and Nobie had 42 grandchildren; 16 are currently living and 7 of those were able to attend the reunion.

Those of us who were able to attend the Ponder reunion had a good time visiting and sharing memories with cousins. If you were unable to be with us - we missed you.

Join us Saturday, October 6, 2012. We will be getting together at the same cabin. It is a great place!
