John Sebastian's date of birth is October 3, 1874, according to John's World War I draft registration card. John died 11 Oct 1925. The registration card is not dated but would be 1917 since the card does have the signed date of September 12 and his age is listed as 43 years. Also noted is their residence at the time, 761 Campell (should be Campbell) Ave. Detroit, MI

The 1920 Census lists John Affeld (age 45) with spouse named Sarah (age 43), and their 4 children, Evelyn (age 21), Raymond (age 19), Elmer (age 11), and Cyril (age7).
