These three huge volumes, which are written in Old English, contain historical data focusing on the lives of the Berkeleys, lords of the Honour, Castle, and Manor of Berkeley in the county of Gloucestershire,England, from 1066 to 1618; with a discription of the hundred of Berkeleys and this Castle's inhabitants.

The information from these volumes are being translated from "OLD ENGLISH" by a descendant of the original Berkelys of Gloucestershire,England....my sister Nancy Margaret Dickinson Chamberlain. We were able to have the privilege to read thu these books thu inter-library loan at our local Library in Dec. of 1994. We were also able to make copies of what we could out of these 3 volumes. We copied the main information and now wish we had copied them in there entirety. This library was the only one who would allow the books to be on loan. There are other copy's but they can not be sent on inter-library loan. There is a copy of them on display in the miniment room at the Berkeley Castle in England.
