In the old Athens City Cemetery I mentioned in one of my previous emails (the one on UGA campus) I found this:
(the number refers to the number of the grave on the diagram of the cemetery)

16. Hunt, Mrs. Martha H. [no date] - 1 Jun 1845, age 28 yrs, 8 mos, 25 days, w/o Frederick S.S. Hunt, "Sacred to the memory of ..." [The Southern Banner of 5 Jun 1845 carried her obituary, saying that she died of consumption at the residence of her mother in Athens, GA. The Clarke Co. Marriage Book B reveals that Frederick S.S. Hunt married Martha H. Puryear 10 Sep 1838.] [Georgia marble slab, partly illegible, repaired 1932] [Bottom right bears stonecutter's inscription of W. Hurlick & Co., Talking Rock, Gilmer Co., Ga.]

138. Hunt, "Little Sis" 3 Nov 1849 - 14 Jul 1850, infant d/o Josiah Meigs and Sarah Catherine Hunt [marble headstone, now lying flat, rosebud & leaves; stonecutter's signature below verse to the right: "Glendinning, Augusta"; marker straightened 1932] [Note: Previous surveys have given her last name as Meigs - it is HUNT. She was the daughter of Josiah Meigs Hunt and Sarah Catherine Hunt. The family is shown on the 1850 Clarke County census as J.M. Hunt, wife Sarah, and four little boys.]

From <[email protected]> list

The HUNT family cemetery is located nr. Round Oak in Jones Co., GA on Jackson Road.
