The remains of H.S. Hunt were brought down from St. Paul, MN; Monday and interred in the Calmar cemetary beside his wife. His age was nearly 90 yrs. and he died at the home of a son, H.W. Hunt in St. Paul on Thurs. Nov. 12th. Mr. Hunt was Mrs. J. Ferguson's brother-in-law, and the funeral services were conducted at the Ferguson House. source: Calmar [IA] Courier, Nov. 20, 1896.
