JOHN C. LONG

The 1850 census shows Henry and Rachel Long to have a son John C., age 15, born in Tennessee. Enid's Long Family Record names him simply "John", married to "Nancy McIlhaney", adding "They had no children". The Caldwell County marriage records confirm the marriage on 16 April 1857. The 1860 census of Caldwell County does not show this couple. They must have moved soon after their marriage. John C. Long does not appear to be in the 1860 census index for Texas.
