Jeremiah Houser was born in Wurtenburg, Germany on May 31, 1828 and he emigrated to the United States in the mid 1850's, he and his wife eventually settling in West Branch, in the Town of Lee, Oneida County, New York. He was located on the 1860 census in the town of Lee, as was George Houser and his wife Margaret, also from Wurtenburg. The ages of George & Margaret fit as the parents of Jeremiah however no positive proof has been found. It is also possible that Joseph Houser who resided in Rome, is a brother of Jeremiah.There are four of us working on this Houser family, myself, Daniel Houser, Judith Welsh and Robert Stropp. The following pages contain information we have compiled on Jeremiah Houser's descendants.
