Your site has quite a bit of information. The information that I have, my grandmother researched. I had always thought that quite a bit of it was either vague or confusing. Now I know why with so many James Trotters. Mine is the line that was spoken about in the letter to Preston Trotter. Sometime about 1742 they came to the U.S. first settling around Philadelphia and then in Augusta Co. Virginia. They eventually moved on to Kentucky. They originally came from the Mountains of Mourne region of Ireland (County Down). The family migrated either from Scotland or England to Ireland.

George Trotter here in Denver. i don't know who I am or where I come from so maybe you can help with what little info I can give you. My fathers name is Wilburn Trotter (Jr.) who was born on Jan. 8th 1924 I believe in Stevensville Texas and passed on in Nov. of 1986 in Erath Texas. My mothers name is Patricia Ann and at the time of her courtship to my father her adopted last name was Brake and she was born in Michigan but was raised in Houston Texas by her adoptive parents who I remember as "Nanny and Popsi (George) Brake both deceased. My mother says I have roots to "Admiral Hazard Parry" an Admiral in the great lake wars during the battles of 1812 but I have no way to refrence this. My father was in the army and was stationed all over the country for a couple years. At the time of my birth April 28 of 1953 he was stationed in Honolulu Hawaii but I do know that my oldest sister was born in Kentucky about six years prior If you love a challange to your "root finding" this is one for you. I have heard that some geneoligists have a nack for finding and searching for items such as this. If you can help me I would appreciate it! Sincerely, George M. Trotter (Denver, Colorado)
