Baugnet, Peter

"Pete" G.

Peter "Pete" G. Baugnet, 34, De Pere, died unexpectedly on Feb. 13, 2000. Pete
was born on Feb. 11, 1966 in Green Bay to Arnold J. and Nancy L. (Jackson)
Baugnet. He was a graduate of Abbott Pennings High School in De Pere and the
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. On July 14, 1990 Pete married the former
Tammy Milz at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church on the campus of St. Norbert
College in De Pere. Pete worked as a Physical Education and Health Teacher.
During his career, he worked at Notre Dame School in De Pere, Washington
Middle School in Green Bay, Preble High School in Green Bay and Red Smith
Grade School. He was a former Green Bay Deacons Hockey Player as well as
coaching hockey at Notre Dame Academy. He was a member of a UW Oshkosh
Cross-Country team that won an NCAA National Championship as well as being a
member of the All-American Cross-Country Team. At East Green Bay High
School he coached the Cross Country Team to their first County Championship in
ten years. He was an outstanding High School and College athlete who loved
running, hockey and golf. He was a devoted family man and teacher who was very
devoted to his three children. He was very close to his parents, his siblings, and
all his nieces and nephews.

Pete will be sadly missed by his wife, Tammy and their three children, Zachary,
Luke and Mark; his parents, Arnold and Nancy; three brothers, Bart (Betty)
Baugnet and their children Joseph and Annie, Homewood, Ill.; John (special friend
Julie) Baugnet, Milwaukee; Matt (special friend Carrie) Baugnet, De Pere; four
sisters, Beckie (Tom) Stefely and their children Ben, Jamie and Jessie who was
Pete's godchild, Lisle, Ill.; Jenny (Steve) Eckelaert and their children Annelise,
Maddy, Jack and Genevieve, Appleton; Mary (Chris) Van Dyke and their children
Rachel who was also Pete's godchild, and Paul, De Pere; Sarah (fiance Simon
Hedeen) Baugnet; aunts, Carol (Charlie) Rasmussen, Rhinelander; Lynn
Wagoner, Green Bay; Kathy Schadrie, De Pere; Esther Baugnet, Pulaski;
Lorraine Forehand, Georgia; Jeannie Baugnet, Wabeno; uncles, Roy Jackson,

He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul; his grandparents, Gordon and
Agnes Jackson, and John and Julia Baugnet; and many aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De
Pere 336-8702, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
There will be no visitation Thursday morning. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 220 S. Michigan Ave., De Pere, with the
Rev. Gery Meehan O.Praem, Rev. Angelo Feldkamp O.Praem, and Rev. V.
Anthony Dolski concelebrating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pete's name.

 

 

Damp, Dorothy E.

Dorothy E. Damp, 73, 155 Degan Rd., Oconto Falls, died Tuesday morning, Feb.
15, 2000 at a Green Bay hospital following a 13 month illness with cancer. She
was born Dec. 16, 1926 in Hayes to Emil and Dorothea (Bovea) Kitzman. On May
21, 1949 she married Donald C. Damp in Oconto Falls. Dorothy lived in Oconto
Falls for most of her life and had worked for Scott Paper Co. for a short time. She
was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo,
fishing and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry Damp, Oconto Falls;
Robert and Susan Damp, Oconto Falls; Rickie and Veronica Damp, Pulaski; one
daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Kruse, Oconto Falls; seven
grandchildren, Valarie Elbe, Robin and Kevin Damp, Tanya Fingan, Dana Damp,
Tina Elsner and Jason Kruse; two great-granddaughters, Casandra and Shoni
Elbe; one brother, Roger Kitzman; four sisters, Irene Peterson, Valda Payette,
Betty Lambert, Beverly Amdsen; her best friend and bingo buddy, Betty Kitzman,
Lena.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald on Nov. 8, 1987;
three brothers, Robert, Harold and Gordon Kitzman; and three sisters, Charlotte
Williquette, Margaret Gillis and Lorraine Damp.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4 until 8 p.m.
Thursday and at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls after 10 a.m. Friday until
the time of services. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Shaun
McFarland officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

 

 

Deicher, Marie

Marie Deicher, 80, Green Bay resident, died Tuesday Feb. 15, 2000 at a local
nursing home. Complete arrangements to be announced by the Proko-Wall
Funeral Home.

 

 

Domke, Mary

Mary Domke, 83, formerly of Little Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000 in Crivitz.
Mary was born Oct. 29, 1916 in Little Chute, to the late William and Mary
(Koenen) Vanden Pas. Mary married Fred Domke May 12, 1934 in Omro. He
preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1969.

Survivors include five sons, Fred Domke Jr. and Marilyn Ludwig, Crivitz; Allen and
Lore Domke, De Pere; Daniel Domke and Shelly, Denmark; Keith and Pam
Domke, De Pere; Jeffery Domke and Bonnie VanLaanen, Pulaski; three
daughters, Sharon and Gene Farr, Menasha; Sue and Richard West,
Wrightstown; Karen Domke, Green Bay. Also Mike and Elaine Loy, Green Bay;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Liz
VandenElzen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred; a daughter, Janice; a son,
James; and by her brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 5
to 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady
Of Lourdes Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at the
church, with the Rev. Jim Baraniak, O.Praem. officiating. Burial in the Eureka
Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to Marilyn Ludwig and the staff
at New Care Convalescent Center in Crivitz, for the care and concern shown to

Edlund, Marion P.

Marion P. Edlund, 82, 130 Badger Lane, Green Bay, joyfully entered the gate of
heaven on Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 to join her husband and to be with her Eternal
Father. She was born July 19, 1917 in Green Bay to the late Hugh and Pearl
(Hickman) Goddard. On May 11, 1937, she married Willis Edlund in Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Edlund moved to Sheboygan and in 1955, she moved to Green Bay.

Marion had been employed at F.W. Woolworth's and later worked as a Cook for
the Ashwaubenon Public School System. Mr. and Mrs. Edlund enjoyed the times
spent at their cottage at Green Lake with their family. She was a long time
member of Calvary Lutheran Church and was involved with the Salvation Army.

Survivors include four children and one daughter-in-law, George and Donna
Edlund, Rhinelander, Wis.; Richard Edlund, Suring; Russell Edlund, Green Bay;
Sharon Edlund, Oconto Falls; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two very
special friends, George and Blanche Adams, Waupaca; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; one sister and brother-in-law,
Lorraine and Edward Sanderson; an infant brother; one daughter-in-law, Sue
Edlund.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11 a.m. to
1:30 p.m. Thursday. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
with the Rev. Earl Vorpagel III officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Cemetery.

The Edlund family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Bell Regional
and to her close friends at Badger Terrace Apartments for their attention and care
that they showed to Marion.

Flatley, Robert Hugh

Robert Hugh Flatley, 91, Green Bay, died peacefully at Highland Health Care early
Monday morning, Feb. 14, 2000. Arrangements are pending. A full obituary will

Grenell, Helen L.

Helen L. (Nee Bellinghausen) Grenell, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000. Preceded
in death by her loving husband, Harold "Hank". Beloved mother of Richard (Debra),
Green Bay; Mary Ann (Norman) Haasch, Thomas (Jill) and Joan (Dr. Mark)
Hoenecke; dear grandmother of Paul, Joseph, Kristine, Emma and Claire;
step-grandmother of Joseph and Matthew; sister of Gretchen (Otto) Scherr, Mary
(Byron Patrick) Pike and the late Richard (the late Ines) Bell. Further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graduate of Marquette School of Nursing 1943, Member of St. Rita Parish, West
Allis and Christian Women, former Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Clement Manor Nursing Home Chapel,
Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday at
Schaff Funeral Home, 4:30 to 8 p.m. Vigil 7 p.m. Also in state at Clement Manor
Chapel Thursday 10 a.m. to time of Mass.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Clement Manor for their exceptionally
loving care for more than five years.

Hayden, Viola

Viola Hayden, 87, Green Bay, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 at her home
surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Pauline (Marcelle) and Anton Hoslet on Oct. 8, 1912.
Viola married Donald (Hoop) Hayden on Oct. 21, 1944 and he preceded her in
death Sept. 4, 1975. She was loved by all who knew her. Her greatest joy was her
family.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna "D" (Jerry) Muenster,
Jeannine (Gary) Anderson, Jackie (Dennis) Frelich; six grandchildren, Eddie
(Lynn) Muenster, Jill (Todd) Watzka, Jenny Muenster, Ross Anderson, Kristen
Frelich, Bryan Frelich; three great-grandchildren, Angie Muenster, Lauren
Muenster, Hayden Watzka; one brother, Amos (Lorraine) Hoslet; four
sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Evelyn Scanlan, Marion and Bernard
Piontek, Marcella Hayden and Beulah Kemnitz; and many nieces and nephews.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Don; and three brothers, Joe, Ralph
and Rowland.

Friends may call at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., after 3
p.m. Thursday where the funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev.
Jim Hablewitz officiating.

A memorial fund has been established for the Salvation Army.

Hess, Carole A.

Carole A. Hess, 57, New Brighton, Minn. Full obituary appeared Tuesday.

Krouse, Sister Denise

Sister Denise Krouse, 82, St. Francis Convent, Green Bay, died Tuesday
morning, Feb. 15. The daughter of John and Mary (DeGroot) Krouse entered St.
Francis Convent, Bay Settlement, September 1934. She was received into the
community of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross in August 1935, made
her perpetual profession of vows in 1943. Sister Denise celebrated her diamond
jubilee in 1995.

Sister Denise taught at St. Matthew School, Green Bay, St. Mary School, Bear
Creek and the Crippled Children's Home, Robinsonville. She worked in food
service and homemaking at the McCormick Home, Green Bay, St. Boniface, De
Pere, St. Joseph, Marinette, St. John, Howard, Holy Angels, Darboy, Ss. Peter &
Paul, Institute, Holy Trinity, Casco and Holy Cross, Mishicot and St. Joseph,
Madison. She retired to the Motherhouse at Bay Settlement, in 1984.

Sister Denise was especially gifted in art and craft work. Her beautiful rosaries
made with rose petals were valued keepsakes for families in memory of their loved
ones. Her loving concern and generosity were an inspiration to family and to all
who knew her.

Sister Denise is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mercy and Orland Picard,
Green Bay; a brother, Larry Krouse, Green Bay; and a brother-in-law, Robert
Harris, also of Green Bay; 22 nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and
nephews; and the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Krouse; her sisters,
Catherine Krouse, Beatrice Krouse Leurquin and brother-in-law, Gabe Leurquin,
Ethel (Krouse) Harris; a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd Gen (Gaveart) Krouse; a
brother, Roy Krouse and a sister-in-law, Betty Krouse.

Friends may call at St. Francis Convent, Bay Settlement, 3025 Bay Settlement,
Thursday, Feb. 17, 4 to 8 p.m. The Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. The Mass of
Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross
Church, Bay Settlement, the Rev. David Pleier presiding.

The Sisters of St. Francis and the family of Sister Denise wish to express a

to Sister Denise during her illness.

Mall, Mary H.

Mary H. Mall, 86, Baileys Harbor, Wis., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 at Door
County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1913 in Padus, Wis., to the late
Edward and Anna Hammes. She was the former owner of the Northland Nehi
Bottling Company of Green Bay and a member, Past President and State Director
of the Altrusa Club of Green Bay. She attended Purdue University and earned a
degree in Pharmacy.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roman (Sue) Ritchie, Baileys Harbor, Wis.; a
son, Thomas Mall, Savannah, Ga.; grandchildren, Mrs. John (Theresa) Holtz,
Greenville, Wis.; Mrs. Steve (Mary) Patton, Brookfield, Wis.; Miss Wendy Ritchie,
Bartlette, Ill.; Robert Ritchie, Menasha, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Christopher
Holtz, Cassidy Ritchie, Jennifer Holtz, Mathew Patton and Cameron Ritchie; a
brother, Russell (Dorothy) Hammes, Green Bay, Wis.; niece, Casandra Scherer;
and nephew, Jeffrey Hammes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2000 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic
Church, Baileys Harbor, Wis., with the Rev. Chester Cappucci officiating. Friends
may call at the church after 10 a.m. Friday until time of service. Interment in

McGuire, Randall

Phillip "Randy"

Randall Phillip "Randy" McGuire, 35, Ashwaubenon, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000
at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1964 in Green Bay to James and Gloria
(LeTourneau) McGuire. He graduated from Bay Port High School in the Class of
1982. From 1983 to 1986, Randy served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed for
many years by Jim's Installation. On Nov. 11, 1995 Randy married Nancy
Leisgang at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He loved the woods and his time spent
outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.

His survivors include his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Krystal Benning, Oconto Falls;
his parents, James and Gloria McGuire; grandmother, Hyacinth LeTourneau; three
brothers and a sister-in-law, Scott McGuire, Kevin and Rose McGuire, Shaun
McGuire, all of Green Bay; aunts, uncles, nephews, Cody; godchild Logan
McGuire; and cousins; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Leisgang, Green
Bay; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses, David and Terry
Leisgang, Sharon and Tom Goessl, all of Green Bay; Craig and Mary Amenson,
Manitowoc; Norbert and Debra Leisgang, Diane and Jerry Gegare, all of Green

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard LeTourneau; his
paternal grandparents, Reginald and Lena McGuire; and his father-in-law, Gerald
J. Leisgang.

today (Wednesday).

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Msgr.

Thies, Viola

Viola Thies, 84, Oneida, passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2000, at a
local hospital after a short illness. She was born Oct. 27, 1915, in Green Bay,
daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Redmann) Maufort. On Jan. 17, 1945, she
was united in marriage to Russell Thies at Zion Lutheran Church, Oneida. Vi loved
to crochet and to go on vacation, but especially loved the time spent with her
grandchildren. She was a charter and lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church,
Oneida and of the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include her children, Charlotte Thies, Charles (Samai) Thies and Shirley
(Harold) Willette, all of Oneida; her grandchildren, Tadd (Kelli), Poun, Chad, David,
Mistirae (Mat) and Diana; a sister, Alvera Thies; and a sister-in-law, Joyce
Maufort; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, three brothers and a sister.

Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Oneida, until services
at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Vernon Heim officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
