Three very large scrapbooks compiled by Mrs. Judy Pierce of Plessis, Jeff. Co., N. Y. The material was collected through the years by Mrs. Rena Putnam.    IV. THE SCRAPBOOK OF THE HART FAMILY OF CLAYTON, N. Y.
This is a fascinating collection of newspaper items collected during the late 1800's and early 1900's. The items are arranged into separate categories: obits, marriages, birthday celebrations, wedding anniversaries, reunions, community interest items, thoughts from the battlefield, etc. -- each reflecting a wonderful portrayal of what life was like for a typical, rural Jefferson county family during the period. The categories are indexed.

A small listing of Depauville marriages.

   VII. HUNTER SCRAPBOOK
A scrapbook owned by Leon Hunter and most likely assembled by his mother of the Plessis, Jeff. Co., N. Y. area - - a continuation of a scrapbook appearing on Nan Dixons Jeff. Co. Genweb site under Tidbits. These were typed for Nan, but never added to her site. What appears on this website comprises the continuation. Please bear in mind there are many, many more pages yet to be typed.

VIII. CONTENTS OF THE CONKLIN SCRAPBOOK
This is a List of Contents of a scrapbook made by Mrs. Minnie Gladwyn Conklin, who lived in the Brownville-Dexter area of Jefferson County, N. Y. In that it was a scrapbook comprising of old deeds, photos, and family histories, the scrapbook itself was not suitable for transcribing word-for-word. Therefore, the typist (granddaughter of the compiler), listed the Contents only, sometimes finding it possible to present the text.
