My BEEMAN line emigrated from England to eastern Connecticut. John BEMAN, son of Thomas BEMAN and Phoebe PARKE, was born about 1725 in Preston, New London County, Connecticut. John BEMAN moved to Kent, Litchfield County, in western Connecticut.
John's grandson, Samuel Porter BEEMAN, moved from Connecticut to New York, settling at East Clarence, Town of Clarence, in what is now Erie County, New York. His great-grand-daughter, Grace Mildred BEEMAN, is my grandmother BEEMAN. Descendents of Grace Mildred BEEMAN now live across the country, from Alaska to Texas, from New York to southern California.
