8. James Walter3 SAVAGE (James Anderson2, John S.1)(43) was born in Webster,, Mississippi 31 October 1849. James died 12 November 1935 at 86 years of age.

He married Margaret CLASNER in Segmin, Texas, 11 February 1875. Margaret was born 28 August 1855 Fair Point, Minnesota. Margaret was the daughter of John KLOSNER and Elizabeth (Baetie) BLUMER. Margaret died 26 March 1938 in Sanderson, Texas, at 82 years of age. At 20 years of age Margaret became the mother of Jane Elizabeth SAVAGE 17 November 1875. At 23 years of age Margaret became the mother of Robert Lee SAVAGE 1 September 1878. At 25 years of age Margaret became the mother of James Walter (Jr.) SAVAGE 19 January 1881. At 27 years of age Margaret became the mother of Margaret SAVAGE 16 April 1883. At 29 years of age Margaret became the mother of John W. SAVAGE 13 June 1885. At 32 years of age Margaret became the mother of Fredrick SAVAGE 2 November 1887. At 34 years of age Margaret became the mother of Caroline (Dolly) SAVAGE 27 March 1890. At 36 years of age Margaret became the mother of Ellen SAVAGE 31 May 1892. At 39 years of age Margaret became the mother of William Henry SAVAGE in Eldridge, Texas, 21 July 1895. At 43 years of age Margaret became the mother of Roxanah SAVAGE 17 January 1899.

At 26 years of age James became the father of Jane Elizabeth SAVAGE 17 November 1875. At 28 years of age James became the father of Robert Lee SAVAGE 1 September 1878. At 31 years of age James became the father of James Walter (Jr.) SAVAGE 19 January 1881. At 33 years of age James became the father of Margaret SAVAGE 16 April 1883. At 35 years of age James became the father of John W. SAVAGE 13 June 1885. At 38 years of age James became the father of Fredrick SAVAGE 2 November 1887. At 40 years of age James became the father of Caroline (Dolly) SAVAGE 27 March 1890. At 42 years of age James became the father of Ellen SAVAGE 31 May 1892. At 45 years of age James became the father of William Henry SAVAGE in Eldridge, Texas, 21 July 1895. At 49 years of age James became the father of Roxanah SAVAGE 17 January 1899.

James Walter SAVAGE and Margaret CLASNER had the following family:

child 27 i. Jane Elizabeth4 SAVAGE was born 17 November 1875. Jane died 1965 at 89 years of age. She married James Henry EDWARDS. James became the father of Susan Mabel Roquemore EDWARDS 1899. James became the father of James Lawrence EDWARDS 1903. James became the father of Margaret Elizabeth EDWARDS 1910. James became the father of Cecil Augustus EDWARDS 1931. At 23 years of age Jane became the mother of Susan Mabel Roquemore EDWARDS 1899. At 27 years of age Jane became the mother of James Lawrence EDWARDS 1903. At 34 years of age Jane became the mother of Margaret Elizabeth EDWARDS 1910. At 55 years of age Jane became the mother of Cecil Augustus EDWARDS 1931.

child + 28 ii. Robert Lee SAVAGE was born 1 September 1878.

child 29 iii. James Walter (Jr.) SAVAGE was born 19 January 1881. He married Sallie COLE. James Walter and Sallie had 4 children..their names are not known.

child 30 iv. Margaret SAVAGE was born 16 April 1883. Margaret died in El Paso, Texas. She married H.P. STANTON. Margaret and H.P. had 6 children..their names are not known.

H.P. died in El Paso, Texas.

child 31 v. John W. SAVAGE was born 13 June 1885. John died 12 September 1905 in Hidalgo, Texas, at 20 years of age. drowned in the Rio Grande River on his Uncle John Closner, Jr's plantation in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.

child 32 vi. Fredrick SAVAGE was born 2 November 1887. Fredrick died 9 September 1952 at 64 years of age.

child 33 vii. Caroline (Dolly) SAVAGE was born 27 March 1890.

child 34 viii. Ellen SAVAGE was born 31 May 1892. Ellen died 15 July 1948 at 56 years of age.

child + 35 ix. William Henry SAVAGE was born 21 July 1895.

child 36 x. Roxanah SAVAGE was born 17 January 1899. Roxanah died 17 September 1901 in Sanderson, Texas, at 2 years of age. Her body was interred in Sanderson, Texas, Sanderson cemetery. The Sanderson cemetery was later moved in it's entirety to Cedar Grove Cemetery.
