This line is one of the oldest known. Mention of it is made in the book by the book published by Rev. WM Ball Wright, M.A., T.C.D., in 1889 entitled The Ussher Memoirs.
FAMILY
TREE build 14 Jan 2000. This is a skeleton tree of the people as laid
out in the book "The Ussher Memoirs". There is no other supporting evidence
for the connection between the people, but there are some records in IGI for
some of the names, although not all have been checked. The tree goes as far as
Robert and Hezekiah from which the Ushers Of Massachusetts
are descended are from this family.
The GEDCOM file is also being uploaded to the WorldConnect Project where it can also be searched.
This branch has one of the first known Usher arms (see Armory).

My ancestor, John WOOD (16??-1737) married Ann USHER (16??-abt 1758) of Barnby upon Dun Parish, Yorkshire. This is a few miles north of Doncaster, from Bentley go northeast past Arksey. John WOOD and Ann USHER had a son name John. I don't have any other information about Ann except her son, John Wood (abt 1708-1773). It appears they May have moved to Arksey Parish from Barnby.
