German Handbill passed out to our ancestors
There is a great site by the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) located at http://www.virtualmuseum.ca/Exhibitions/Migrations/ , one page of this site http://www.virtualmuseum.ca/Exhibitions/Migrations/english/hhs/index.html (click on Board of Trade 1749 link, then click on thumb) has a scanned copy (in German) of a c.1750 German handbill circulated by John Dick to recruit settlers to come to Nova Scotia. Thanks to the Public Archives of Nova Scotia (PANS) for making this available.
