William Fullerton was born at Hopewell, Maryland, in 1819. In the spring of 1864, he enlisted in Company G, First Ohio Sharpshooters, and was afterwards attached to the 60th Ohio. He was wounded in the hand, losing a finger at Petersburgh, Virginia, in 1864; and was honorably discharged at Washington, D. C., in 1865. In 1866 he came to Champlin where he has since resided. He was married in 1848, to Martha Crosby, of Ohio. They have four children.
