FROM THE 60TH

On our first page we copy two very interesting articles, explaining the position and movements of Gen. Fremont's army before its recent march eastward. We also publish a letter from a member of the 60th, which is part of the advance-guard of the army, and was in the fight near Winchester last Sunday, with the rear-guard of Jackson's army, particulars of which will be found in another part of our paper. The dispatches state that two of the 60th were wounded, but their names are not given.

A private letter from a brother of the editor, dated at Petersburg, last Thursday, states that he and about 100 others of the regiment were left at that place, being unable to stand the fatigue of the forced march to Winchester.

The report of the death of Tine Glenn of the band, we are glad to learn was unfounded.
