All, who are absent from the Regiment are required to report themselves to me in Hillsboro by MONDAY, the 4th day of August, or be considered and treated as Deserters.

Those who are unfit for duty will be examined and either furloughed for a longer period or instructed how to obtain their discharge, and all who are fit for duty will be furnished with transportation to Winchester, Va., where the regiment now is. The furloughs given at Peterburg, New Creek and Cumberland, are all canceled by order from Adjutant General Thomas, and also an order from Gen. Pope.

I will be glad to take with me enough brave men to fill the regiment. They can volunteer for the balance of the term of the 60th, which is to the 25th of February, 1863, and join any of the companies of the regiment, all of which are commaned by experienced, gentlemanly officers.

The regiment has won a good name, is located in a healthy region, and is now in Piatt's Brigade, Schenck's Division, where officers and men are appreciated and treated as gentlemen.

The $4 extra advanced to each volunteer for the Regiments now in the field, will be applicable to those volunteering in the 60th.

Sergeant WM. MARCH is Assistant Recruiting Officer for this county, and either he or myself will be glad to receive your names.

I will also leaven an enrollment roll at Major Marlay's store, and furnish one to any friend of the regiment in any township in the county, who is satisfied he can get some volunteers.

Come on, brave men, and strike us for our Country! Don't wait to be drafted.
