This is a photograph of the house that was lived in by Robert Alexander Mackenzie, Sr. and his wife, Gertrude "Trude" Staude Williams Mackenzie. It is a two-story, A-frame house that was built on the side of a mountain. The roof was made out of wood and one of the outside walls was out of rock. They hand-picked the stones, and built the house from the ground up with the help of their youngest son. |
