In a 2-quart dish, layer sliced potatoes, onion, shredded cheese, two shakes of parmesan cheese, soup, frozen peas (optional), and one shake of pepper. Layer until all ingredients are used. Pour 1/2 cup of milk on top. Cover and microwave on high for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
