CONRAD BERG
Conrad Berg was born in 1720 in Hanau, in the Hesse Darmstadt province of Germany, the son of Philip Berg. He married Catherine Louise Bleeken. No record has been found of their children other than Johann Christian Berg. Conrad died on March 12, 1797. His death is recorded in the Lutheran Church at Lahde, Westfalia in northern Germany.
CATHERINE LOUISE JUDITH BLEEKEN
Catherine Bleeken was born on February 3, 1731. She died on July 3, 1798 in Quetzen, Westfalia, Prussia. She and Ilse Bleeken, spouse of Johannes Dreves, were sisters - the first indication of close ties between the Berg and Dreves families. Nothing further is known about her.
PHILIP BERG
Philip Berg was a weaver of stockings, born in 1699 in Hanau in the Hessian province of Germany. His death certificate shows that he died of a stroke in the "Schaumburgische forest" on March 9, 1775. The death is recorded in the Lutheran Church at Lahde, Westfalia, Germany.
JOHANNES ERNST DREVES
Johannes Dreves was born on November 23, 1738. It is not known how many children he and his wife Ilse Bleeken had - only that they were the parents of Anne Dreves. He died on December 6,1791 at the Dreves home at Nr.52 Mazloh Street, Quetzen, Westfalia, Prussia.
ILSE MARIA BLEEKEN
Ilse Bleeken, wife of Johannes Dreves, was born somewhere in Prussia in 1730. She was the younger sister of Catherine Bleeken (wife of Conrad Berg). She died on December 27, 1767 at the Dreves home at Nr.52 Mazloh Street in Quetzen, Westfalia, Prussia. Her death is recorded in the Lutheran Church at Lahde, Westfalia, just a short walk away.
