Frances "Fannie" Croft ran a tourist home in Vero Beach, Florida for many years, selling homemade jellies and jams to her customers. She attended the University of Florida and Florida State College for Women. She was active in the Baptist church in Vero Beach and the American Legion Auxiliary. Husband Festus was in the orange grove business and a primitive Baptist preacher.
