Capt John Howard was born 6 October 1742, location unknown. His early life is a mystery, as is the identity of his first wife, Lucy. He proceeded to marry three more times. John Howard was quite active in the Royal Army and as a Loyalist, managed to make it to Nova Scotia, and eventually New Brunswick.

John was said to have a fiery temperament - is that where I get it? ;-)
