Birth

He was listed in the 1910 US Census of Indians, giving his birthdate as May 1832.   His name does not appear in the next US Census, so he may have died by 1920.

Marriage

I have no record of who his wife was.   The Durant roll states she was dead by 1907.

Group photo taken between 1907-1911, date established by the key written on the back of the photo, which mentioned mentioned the presence of Gov. Warner & Lt. Gov. Kelley of Michigan in this picture.  They held office together during those years & only those years.   John B. Waukazoo is standing in the front row at the very left.  His cousin David Agosa is also in the front row, with a patch over his eye.  David was a son of Chief Agosa and a grandson of Chief Peter Waukazoo.   Images above & below are from archives of the Grand Traverse Heritage Center, 322 6th St., Traverse City, Michigan.

Amos Waukazoo, b. 20 July 1875, d. 12 Dec 1934.  He married Elizabeth Ogemagegedo (b.1878, d. ?) in 1898.  He married Mary C. Wasageshick (1885-1953) in 1905.   Children were Mary (b. 1905, d. ?),  Francis (April 1906-Oct 1906), Philip Martin Waukazoo (4 Feb 1912 - 6 March 1984), Josephine Waukazoo (1915-1933), Stephen J. Waukazoo (1920-1998).
